I'm a software engineer from Berlin, Germany. Before, I was a professional athlete of the German national team in modern pentathlon (swimming, fencing, running, shooting, horse riding). Besides work, I like to road bike and go for a run.
I found my passion in engineering when I was young, building small programs and games in Visual Basic and Java like Space Invaders, Snake and a Sudoku solver. After I finished school, I built and sold an app before going to university (6 months). During university, I was the lead engineer behind one of the few systems that applied game-theory-optimal solutions on live Poker tables, outperforming human players by recalculating the game tree dynamically and using ML to extract game states visually. This was pre "AI era."
Also in university, we built a data pipeline to estimate CO2 emissions of compute jobs in the university's data center, and collaborated with BMW Motorrad on an analytics pipeline to optimize their warehouses for non-serial materials (materials not consumed proportionally to customer orders).
Now, I am founding DataSpren, a data analytics company.
